Incorporated in Bermuda and listed on the main board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (stock code: 00135.HK), Kunlun Energy Company Limited is an integrated energy company controlled by China National Petroleum Corporation (“CNPC”) and a constituent of the Hang Seng Index and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index.

Prior to 2008, Kunlun Energy was principally engaged in domestic and overseas oil and gas exploration and development. It began strategic transformation in 2009, focusing on the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) business. In 2015, Kunlun Energy acquired 100% equity interest in PetroChina Kunlun Gas Co., Ltd. held by CNPC, and became a financing platform and investment vehicle for CNPC's oil and gas business and a management platform for CNPC's oil and gas utilisation business. Currently the Company is principally engaged in urban gas, natural gas pipeline, receiving, processing, storage and transportation of liquefied natural gas (LNG), LNG/CNG terminals, natural gas power generation and distributed energy and sale of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), with presence in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across China. With annual sales volume of 16 billion square metres of natural gas and 6 million tons of LPG, it is one of the largest enterprises in the PRC engaged in natural gas utilisation and sale of LPG.
