Jiangsu LNG receiving terminal unloading and export volume hit a record high

2017-11-17

At 1:00 am on 17 November, the world’s largest Q-Max carrier “Shagra” successfully unloaded 267,000 m3 of LNG and departed from the Jiangsu LNG terminal. Since 15 November, the Jiangsu LNG receiving terminal has exported 280 million m3 of natural gas, of which 269 million m3 are gasified and 11 million m3 by liquid loading, which is three times that of the same period of last year.

The receiving terminal summarizes the previous resource demand in winter time, organizes and improves the processes, equipment, and control solutions under different gasification output. All six production lines can be fully loaded at the same time, and its volume of output can be adjusted any time according to the instructions of the control center.

The receiving terminal is committed to “early arrangement, early deployment, and early implementation”, and also adheres to “seven confirmation in place”, including organizational security implementation in place, equipment maintenance in place, solution plan preparation in place, risk investigation and rectification in place, spare equipment testing in place, supply preparation in place, and fully prepared.

As of 22 November, the Jiangsu LNG receiving terminal has exported 4.16 billion m3 of gasified natural gas during the year, completed the annual plan of 139%; liquid loading of 908 million m3, completed the annual plan of 227%. The average energy consumption dropped by 43.8% compared with the previous year, thus enhancing overall quality and efficiency.

It is expected that the downstream demand for natural gas in the coming winter and spring will continue to be robust. The unloading and export volume of natural gas at the receiving terminal in winter of 2017 will hit a record high.
